Hello! My name is Maryel Pryce, I am a senior in the photojournalism BFA program at Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, New York. In addition to my studies, I am the current President of RIT’s National Press Photographer’s Association Student Chapter.

While my primary focus is photojournalism, I also have a passion for environmental conservation, history, curation, and collage. I am often drawn to stories about neglected spaces and the people that keep those spaces alive. I believe journalism and history are one in the same, and I hope within my work to preserve and document the past but at the same time, showcase what people are doing in the present moment to spark change and create conversation.
